     Biography of Laura R. Duggan

 

In addition to being the President of the 501 (c)(3) non-profit, Looking Back at Medford History

Inc., Laura Duggan is an actress and playwright of one-woman plays spotlighting historical women such as Mary Cassatt, Isabella Stewart Gardner, Dolley Madison, Sarah Bradlee Fulton, Lydia Maria Child, and Beatrix Potter. She has performed these plays throughout New England.   See www.remarkablewomenreenacted.com  Several of these plays have been filmed at Medford Community Media, Medford’s tv access channel. Laura also is the hostess of an interview show at MCM entitled, “Looking Back at Medford History. Mrs. Duggan holds a Master’s Degree in Theatre Education from Emerson College and a B.A. in History from the University of California at Berkeley. Laura is a former history teacher and resides in Medford’s Fulton Heights with her husband, Stephen Duggan.
